Knysna roundabout

Full day

We start the day with a visit to the Knysna Heads  with a ferry trip on the

lagoon to reach the Featherbed Nature Reserve . Here you will take a ride on a4x4 vehicle to the top of the Knysna heads. To follow a 1.2 km walk back to the restaurant for a lovely lunch. Then it is back to Knysna by ferry for a bit of local brew tasting at the Mitchell’s Brewery. We end the day with a visit to the Knysna elephant park.

Tsitsikamma Forest Fantasy

The drive takes us on the N2 East to Storms river for a waterfall and river “zip line” Tour for a birds eye view of the storms river and indigenous forest. After lunch, a short drive will take us to Storms river National Park for a beautiful walk to the suspension bridge. On route back to Knysna, we will visit one of the ‘Big Trees’ in the forest for last minute breath-taking memories

Oudtshoorn Karoo magic

We’ll pick you up at your doorstep after breakfast and then head out towards George. We then cross over the mighty Outeniquas into the Little Karoo. Our first stop is at the Cango Caves. One of the best known natural wonders of SA. After discovering the secrets of these beautiful limestone caves it is a short drive to Cango Wild Life ranch to visit the crocs and cats of Oudtshoorn. After lunch is enjoyed we head off to one of the best Ostrich show farms in the area. After a full exiting day we head back to Knysna in the late afternoon

Safari Game drive

For this experience we have to start a little bit earlier than usual.(08h30)

Following the N2 highway we travel west through the coastal towns of Sedgefield

The Wilderness and go as far as Kleinbrak. You will join an experienced guide

on a 3 hour game drive to try and see as many animals as possible.

Lunch is enjoyed and then we head back to Knysna making use of a few “back roads”

 

Tsitiskamma meander

Full day tour

Join me for a relaxing day enjoying nature. We drive on the N2 through some scenic forest and ocean views to pay a visit to the Big Tree in the indigenous Tsitsikamma forest before entering the Tsitsikamma National Park. Back on the N2 towards Plettenberg Bay we take a detour via the Groot river Pass to Natures Valley. Lunch is enjoyed in this peaceful setting and there is also time for a walk on the beach. The day comes to a end with a walk through the largest bird aviary in the southern hemisphere at Birds of Eden.

Plettenberg Bay Tour of the giants

After you’ve been collected from your guesthouse, it’s a short drive to meet the gentle giants of the forest at the Knysna Elephant Park. Next we head of to Plett and visit the Robberg Peninsula for a short walk to the “Gap” and a beautiful view of Plettenberg bay. Back in town for lunch and we end the day with Ocean Safari’s for an exciting boat cruise on the Indian Ocean hoping to spot some whales and dolphins.

Township Tour

A two hour tour.

If you wonder what township life is about, you can join me for an enlightening experience

of the life style in the local townships of Knysna. You will be taken through the five different townships of Knysna, meet local people and visit a clinic, crèche. (Day care)

Full day

After breakfast it’s an hour’s drive to go and face your fear at the Bloukrans Bridge – the highest Bungy in the world at 216m! If that is to wild for your taste, you can attempt the Flying Fox, a 200m flight on a wire parallel with the bridge to reach the centre of the bridge arch. You’ll get a breath-taking view of the gorge. Still too much? Then just walk on the largest bridge in Africa and see them bungy from the bridge. After all the excitement we drive to Storms river National Park for lunch and a relaxing hike to the suspension bridge at the river mouth. It’s then time to head back to your overnight lodge.

Plettenberg Bay Animal Excitement

An early pick up from your guesthouse to join the team at Ocean Safari’s for the 9h30 cruise. Breath-taking views of the ocean and exciting whale and dolphin watching waits. Then it is off to Monkey land, a primate sanctuary where you’ll be guided thru the indigenous forest to meet some of these primates. Next door we will visit Birds of Eden the biggest bird

aviary in the Sothern Hemisphere. Some spectacular bird watching awaits you before we take a short scenic detour back to Knysna. Lunch is enjoyed at the Angora Mill.
